Cast : Isobel "Izzie" Stevens
CHARACTER
Seattle Grace Hospital
Intern Quarterly Evaluation
----------------------------------------------------
Physician's Name : Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens
Service : Surgery
Evaluator's Name : Dr. Calliope Torres
----------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
I guess one could say Stevens really cares for her patients well-being? They all seem to really like her and people request her in the Clinic because of her bedside manner. And I guess she did donate 8 million dollars to build a free clinic.
Weaknesses:
Stevens can't seem to find the line of professionlism because let's face it she's always crossing it. Examples: She's gotten romantically involved with a patient, she flirts with other women's husbands, she's anonymously paid for a patient's surgery and she just speaks her mind. She's WAY TOO PERSONALLY INVOLVED. Even her own interns think she's a little in over her head. They all talk about her behind her back. But who's to say it's not deserved.
Past Performance at SGH:
Although I've heard rumors that Stevens has made a couple of saves as an intern (apparently she drilled burr holes by herself on the ferry or something), it should be noted that she spent a significant chunk of her internship on probation.
Additional Comments:
Confidentially, I'd like to say I'm not sure why Stevens is still even allowed to step foot in this hospital after the whole Denny Duquette matter. But, I guess I'm not only Chief Resident, not Chief of Surgery.

Interview Transcript
Seattle Grace Residency Program
Candidate For Internship: Isobel Stevens
Interviewer: Barclay Faust, M.D., Associate Director of the SGH Residency Program
INTERVIEWER:
So, Isobel.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Call me Izzie.
INTERVIEWER:
In your application, Izzie, you refer to yourself as very "self-reliant." How so?
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Let's just say my parents weren't always there to support me financially.
INTERVIEWER:
But they were there for you emotionally, that's what counts.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Not really that either.
INTERVIEWER:
Well, at last they provided you with four walls and a roof over your head.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
We lived in a trailer.
INTERVIEWER:
Well, you've come quite a long way.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
What's that supposed to mean? Because I no longer live in home with a parking break, I'm a better person now?
INTERVIEWER:
No, not at all. I just meant, you must've worked hard, saved a lot of money.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
And I'm debt-free.
INTERVIEWER:
Really? That's a lot of debt to erase. What were you doing while in med school, practicing medicine? [laughs]
ISOBEL STEVENS:
This is funny to you? This is my life we're talking about medical school is expensive. I had to do whatever I could to pay for it.
INTERVIEWER:
Oh my god, you were a stripper.
ISOBEL STEVENS:
No! What kind of girl do you think I am?
INTERVIEWER:
It's just that when you said "had to do whatever I could" I thought you were implying took your clothes off or something. laughs Thank goodness I was wrong. So what did you do?
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Does it really matter? I mean, it's in the past. My grades are stellar. My recommendations are examplary. Do we really have to talk about this now? During the interview? It was my understanding that this was just a formality, anyway.
INTERVIEWER:
Okay. [Puts down pen] Interview is over. You seem like Seattle Grace material. But I'm curious I get a lot of med students asking me about debt reduction. What's your secret?
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Mumbles something barely audible.
INTERVIEWER:
What was that?
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Modeling
INTERVIEWER:
Runway Model?
ISOBEL STEVENS:
Lingerie
INTERVIEWER:
Oh, Well, at least you weren't pole dancing.

Born in Washington, DC, but raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, Katherine Heigl began her career at the age of nine as a child model. It wasn't long before she graduated to commercial work, which opened the door to auditions for film roles. By age 12 she made her feature debut in "That Night," starring Juliette Lewis and C. This summer Heigl could be seen starring in the romantic comedy "Knocked Up," directed by Judd Apatow and co-staring Seth Rogan. During the summer hiatus she also filmed the romantic comedy, "27 Dresses," co-starring James Marsden and Malin Akerman, about a young woman who, having been a bridesmaid 27 times, wrestles with the prospect of standing by her sister's side as her sibling marries the man she's secretly in love with.
Heigl's previous film credits include "The Ringer," the horror film "Valentine," Steven Soderbergh's critically acclaimed depression-era drama, "King of the Hill," "Under Siega 2: Dark Territory," "Stand-Ins" and "That Night." On television she starred on the WB's sci-fi drama series, "Roswell." Additional TV credits include the Hallmark Channel's "Love Comes Softly," TBS' "Evil Never Dies" and "Love's Enduring Promise."
This past year Heigl received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, the small-town girl who is constantly battling for respect amongst her peers on the award-winning drama "Grey's Anatomy."
