CHARACTER
FROM THE DESK OF RICHARD WEBBER
Chief of Surgery, Seattle Grace Hospital
March 15, 2005
Derek,
I'm sorry to hear New York has lost its luster in your eyes. I hope it's only temporary, but Manhattan's loss can be Seattle's gain, as I would love to have you on our team. Who knows, if you decide to settle out here permanently, your role here could expand greatly. I can honestly say you're the beat neurosurgeon I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have operate on my brain (knock on wood). Give me a call when you get in town and we'll start getting things set up. A warning, though, once we set the ball in motion, it cannot be stopped. So think very carefully about what you're doing. It's a big change. If you still decide to go through with the move, Seattle Grace will be waiting for you.
Best,
Richard
PS I hope you haven't lost a step fly fishing because that's the first, second, and third thing we'll be doing when you get out there.
